We will be driving a long way today to visit my sister’s family and have a hippoty-hoppity Easter Day. So in honor of our long drive, I created a billboard cento. A cento is a poem formed entirely from verses from someone else. I started by taking pictures around town, but I expanded my collection with a Google image search. Here’s a link to a definition of cento. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cento_%28poetry%29

I LOVE THIS! What a great idea! How to pass time on a journey – I miss that our landscape only has billboards in the cities – I have many holiday snaps that are Billboard messages!
It would take a while to create something like this.
Wonderful
and it makes sense.
LOVE IT! You have made my day happier with this slice 🙂
I have linked it on my slice! Hope you get to make a lot of bloggers smile!
This is really clever! Hope you get to do all of those things on your Easter journey!
Have a wonderful time with your sister and family, Margaret. Thanks for taking the time to do this; it’s such a great idea, and you found some lovely lines!
How cute! Very inspirational.
I never see billboards that creative but maybe I am not looking with your writer’s eye. This is a great idea and you have composed a lovely poem.
Love this! There are billboards that are no hum, and then billboards like these…so much fun!o
Wow…it’s amazing you found this all on the road and not from Google images.
So clever! Hope you have a wonderful visit with your sister and her family, and thanks for sharing!
I can’t fathom trying this and coming up with anything other than an absurd nonsense poem. Brilliant “threading” here, Google or no! 🙂
