Sometimes when I’m not looking, and even on those days when frustrations abound.
Joy finds me.
In the morning, the sun shines a beam on the bayou.
Joy finds me.
A child’s eyes light up and smile.
Joy finds me.
A favorite song comes on; I sing along.
Joy finds me.
A cloud looks like Tilly, the wonder dog.
Joy finds me.
A friend sends a text, “You’re a gift.”
Joy finds me.
A cup of coffee when the bones wear thin.
Joy finds me.
A wagging tail and a slobbery lick.
Joy finds me.
The setting sun shines orange, purple, red.
Joy finds me.
The moon rises full; Pleiades sends showers.
Joy finds me.
Where does Joy find you?

A lovely way to begin the day. Thank you. Connie Currie
Beautiful. Your poems bring me joy!
Oh boy, “…we have to choose joy…” Those are wise words and sometimes difficult to live. I completely agree!! I just love the repetition of the words, “Joy finds me.” Thank you for such an inspirational poem!!
I love the repetition of the words, “Joy finds me” and thinking about the unexpected ways that joy sneaks up on us. Thanks for sharing.
There just might be a sign in my classroom this year with the words JOY FINDS ME! It will be a great reminder for me to seek joy this year! Thank you Margaret for bringing us joy with your words!
I never thought about making a sign. Great idea! Thanks for stopping by and finding joy!
