Today’s photo was taken by Molly Hogan. She is a teacher-poet-photographer friend in Maine. When I first saw and saved this photo, I hadn’t seen the full reflection in the water. I’m not sure where this photo was located, but I want to be there today. Don’t you?
God encircles us
Margaret Simon, draft
rainbow stretched over water
glows endless hope

Love this photo, and 💕 it when I first saw it, and your poem brings out that energy of hope within. Thanks Margaret and Molly!
Possibilities
an eyeful of possibilities
imagine the impossible
dive in and dream…
Michelle Kogan
Since my blog is titled “imagine the possibilities” I especially love this eyeful. I saw an eye in the image, too.
Thanks Rose, and I like the title of your blog!
I like Rose’s blog name too, and your poem here has a similar vibe for me. I especially like “dive in and dream” So many possibilities!
A bit anxious about yearly mammo, I look at Molly’s glorious photo again. I feel comforted and at peace writing!
Health Check
I wait,
on my shoulder a rainbow
around my heart the hand of God
I breathe
feel sweet peace
and wait,
nestled in the arms
of nature’s beauty.
All is well. Breathe.
Add a final line:
And poetry.
Glad things went well. Your poem echos the hope in Margaret’s.
Nice movement of images wrapping around each other.
Wishing you well Janet!
My annual is on Friday. Thanks for this gentle prayer.
Janet, I’m so glad I got to read this after you add the addendum. Good news! Your poem is a beautiful prayer or peace and trust.
May the peace abide…

Beautiful, Buffy.
I like your 👁️ “eye of the steam” holding all in balance!
Love the word shimmers.
Buffy, I love “the eye of the stream” and the “rainbow arcs above”
Thank you, Margaret.
rainbow arcs
across the sky
like an eye
looking out
looking in
Wonder-watching eye, lovely!
Yes. I see the eye.
Rose, “looking out / looking in” Such a great image.
So beautiful, Rose.
Molly and Margaret, thank you for this beauty. I enjoyed looking at this photo and being in and with it today. I was imagining the changes taking place in the weather here.
rainbow blinks from heaven
cloud recital begins procession
moving to clearing expression
Cloud recital is a wonderful metaphor. Thanks for writing and commenting.
Cloud recital spoke to me, too…
God sends His promise
In duplicate
Don’t miss it
The photo and your poem, too, are so inspiring. I’ll carry them through the day.
Diane, what a perfect description of this photo. God’s promise in duplicate! Yes, indeed.
The near rhyme of duplicate and miss it accentuates the message of notice.
Unfinished rainbow arch reaching for connection to the far place where dreams live and magination alone will be the builder of continuing colors?
Draft, Carol Coven Grannick
Isn’t it interesting that our imagination sees a full rainbow? Thanks for writing.
[…] Rainbows are still a mystery to me even though I have this knowledge. When I see an actual rainbow in the sky, I often take a picture. My husband knows to stop for rainbows. If you are drawn to them, to Molly’s amazing photo, and want to add your writing to the collection, go back to this post on Wednesday. […]
