The beauty of the Bayou Teche runs behind my house. My backyard is decorated with majestic old oaks and sprawling cypress trees. The setting inspires reflection. Look into this site to read my thoughts and poems about my life on the bayou, teaching gifted students, and nurturing a family.

  I am still learning. How did you do the Subscribe? I think you have to register with Wordpree first to be able to Subscribe. I am hoping for more inspiration this week, so I will keep this up. I appreciate your support and advice. Ordered Adoption. Can’t wait!

Hi Margaret. My son is finishing 2nd grade at ESA and I have heard wonderful things about your writing camp in the summer. I was wondering if you were doing it again this summer and if so, when? We are very interested in attending!

  Yes. Plans are in the making for a camp at EDS in June and one at ESA in July. I’ll email you a flier when we have them. Thanks for your interest.

  The writing camp for kids was years ago. The attendance dropped greatly so I don’t hold them any more. The bush is wisteria. Thanks for your interest in my blog.

The daughter of a friend of mine just moved to Lafayette, La, from Boston. I think your work would be a perfect way to help them get to know their new home. To me, an upstate New Yorker, it seems like an exotic and mysterious place. I look forward to reading your work about the bayou!
