I was drawn to this photo. I see what looks like the shape of a heart beneath the sign.

A heart tied together
with strong twine
can endure
break after break,
a shattering even,
when love is the tape,
twine, and glue.

How grief breaks us,
yet leaves us pieced together,
whole,
the surgery of life.
