I dropped the ball yesterday with my Inklings writing group. I had given the monthly challenge and forgot about it. Today I am trying to make up for it by combining the Ethical ELA prompt from Bryan Ripley Crandall to write about scars with the form. Shadorma poems have a syllable count of 3, 5, 3, 3, 7, 5.
Virus
weary soul
invisible scars
tenderly
heal in time
slowly becoming new skin
touched by cleansing light

Me too! I completely forgot and shared a book review of ‘One Step Forward.’ April is quite a full month. I tell you what…let’s just forgive and forget that we forgot and do what we can today to enjoy poetry all around us.
One step at a time. I am enjoying that book, too.
We all have just a little too much on our plates right now. I say no harm, no foul. Let’s follow Linda’s advice and forgive, forget, and keep on poeming!
Thanks for this new form. I’ll have to try a Shadorma when S comes around in the AtoZ this month. And yes, April is so busy. I meant to link to Poetry Friday and it just flew by me.
