Carol Varsalona sent out an invitation to all poets to submit to the Finding Fall Gallery. I had the pleasure of meeting Carol in person at NCTE. She has an enthusiasm that is contagious. I know she spent all Christmas Day putting together her FInding Fall Gallery. I know because I was getting emails and Tweets about it. She has graciously featured my students and myself. Please treat yourself to a walk through the gallery of poems. It’s a beautiful space to be in. Thanks, Carol. Link to Finding Fall Gallery.
Kielan made an Animoto video with her fall poem.
Don’t forget to link over to Carol’s site for more beauty and words.
Isn’t the gallery wonderful?!? Carol gave us all an amazing gift!
Mary Lee and Margaret, thank you so much for your kind words about the work I engaged in and for your thoughtful contributions.
I thoroughly enjoyed Carol’s presentation, and your contributions to it!
Diane, thank you for mentioning me in your response to Margaret.
Margaret, I am grateful and honored for your collaborative spirit, friendship, offerings for the gallery, and mentioning me in your post. Having student writings is a first for the gallery collections and I hope that this continues so that learners understand the power of words and their effect upon others. Lastly, I am so grateful for the gift of tenacity. Perhaps, the Lord found my holiday gift of the gallery to be one that offers the world insight into His bounty as the magnificent creator of beauty.
Wonderful poems by your students, Margaret (and oh I love the sound of burnt umber -it is indeed the color of late fall and poetry.)
I just loved that your students were featured!
