Today is the final day for the Slice of Life Challenge, and I have run out of words. I took a tour of my Facebook feed to find some. It was a good day for most. I found happy, dreamy words and created a poem. Thanks for taking this daily writing journey with me this month. Now on to National Poetry Month and a Poem-a-Day.
Applauding you….great job! I’m amazed at how you can find the words and keep writing. It must be true that creativity leads to more. You are the perfect example of that. See you in National Poetry Month….a poem a day sounds daunting. Yet, I’ve committed to the idea. Fingers crossed, pencils ready.
I have to make an agreement with my little critic that now every poem will be perfect. It’s the practice that counts. Here we go!
That was a treasure of a find, Margaret! Perfect way to end the SOLC.
And now onward to April and a poem a day! I’m doing mine in ABC order for the AtoZ Challenge again. Looking forward to reading your poems this month.
This is lovely. You found just the right words – no, you read the words and arranged them just right. Great idea! Beautiful poem!
What a beautiful found poem. What a great FB feed you have!
Thank you for your beautiful words and images. They are gems.
I’m over here adding “yippy-skippy” to my favorite word list now… 🙂 Here’s to finding inspiration everywhere, even in our social media feeds. It’s how we try to see. 🙂 Happy Poetry Month to you and to your young poets in school too. x
Love this, Margaret! a-maze of springtime angels – just lovely!
That’s lovely, Margaret – especially the idea of Springtime angels.
We all need a “yippy-skippy” kind of day…especially when we run out of words. Looking forward to writing in April.
I, too, love the “yippy-skippy” kind of day – something to aspire to everyday. =)
Margaret, yippy-skippy kind of day is such a joyful image of your feeling at the end of a journey. Your poem speaks volume of your thoughts. Springtime angels are your new muse.
I posted the Scavenger Hunt poem with words from your poem last Friday.

How great that you found all those lovely words on FB. Maybe I haven’t been paying enough attention. I love “yippy-skippy” kind of day”. Sounds good to me. See you for the next 30 days too!
Love these lines:
“life-changing
a-maze
of springtime angels.”
Congratulations for completing the SOL challenge. You and many others have done yourselves proud.
Hahaha! I love the line, “I’ve run out of words.” I love how you didn’t let that stop you. So glad to take this challenge again with you, my friend!
There is so much to love about this poem, Margaret. I love that you “found” it on Facebook, and I love this line: “Inspiration funnels into poetry.” Always, my friend. Always.
Thanks. That line came from Paul Hankins post about the 102 ideas. Are you writing a poem-a-day?
I’ll be writing, but can’t commit to blogging each day. I feel like I barely made it through March!
I love that a “lucky day” is a “yippy-skippy day” ! And you said you had no words!
This will be a great demo for your kiddos – What you did when you were stuck!!! ❤
Lovely poem and image–a perfect way to kick off National Poetry Month, too!
A fun borrowing of words! I borrowed for my first NPM poem, too!
“Springtime angels,” those are fun and what a dreamy poem, and image too, thanks for all Margaret!
